Kuokkanen Lab

Auditory Neuroscience from Cells to EEGs

About

At the Kuokkanen Lab we analyze data from, and do modellling of neurons and nuclei in the early auditory system. The aim of our work is to understand the field potentials that arise for single cells and circuits in the auditory brainstem. We are interested both in local field potentials and in far fields, such as the Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR, a type of evoked response recorded as an EEG at the scalp).

The Lab is located at the Institute for Theoretical Biology, Humboldt-Unitersität zu Berlin, Germany
